About Us

We started in 2008 as a small team of inspired, passionate and experienced PhDs, researchers, statisticians and engineers.

From our little office in Georgetown, we laid out our vision of how consumers can make better health decisions and the values that would guide us. Since then, we have introduced award-winning solutions, grown to serve millions of people at Fortune 500 companies, health plans, health systems and exchanges. Through all this, we have stayed true to our vision and our values.

Shub Debgupta - Founder's StoryFounder’s Story

In the fall of 2007, my wife and I went through a difficult pregnancy. In particular, the decision about whether to undergo invasive, risky and expensive genetic tests daunted us.

There was plenty of information about the tests—in fact, too much information. The information ranged from anecdotal to overwhelming. It was not actionable and was never personalized. It was nearly impossible to act with confidence and to get to a decision that gave us peace of mind. What we really wanted was relevant information presented in a simple way: What were our options? What did other couples like us do? How effective were the treatments? Where could we get them? And, always lurking in the background, what was our cost and what was covered in our insurance plan? We had to make one of the toughest decisions of our lives with poor information. Our experience was very stressful—and yet extremely common. This shouldn’t be the case. With new technology, extensive data and a personal understanding of the consumer’s challenge, I founded WiserTogether. Today we help millions make better health decisions efficiently and intelligently, achieving better outcomes at a lower cost. And with peace of mind.
